This course is designed for the occasional chainsaw user who intends to use the chainsaw for business, domestic, or leisure activities and does not intend to work in forestry or arboriculture activities or work on Forest Enterprise land.

The course will culminate with an assessment at the end of the second day.

• Safety in the workshop
• Machine maintenance
• Dismantling & reassembling the chainsaw
• Health & safety issues, including safety clothing
• Starting & pre-cutting checks
• Crosscutting & stacking timber
